Géraldine Ragon(1972-)
Listed in the Akoun art ranking,
painter Géraldine Ragon has been a naturalist artist for over 30 years. She is dedicated to the realistic depiction of wildlife and flora through finely detailed landscapes inspired by the natural richness of Europe, from its deep forests to the vast, untamed territories of the Nordic countries.
Drawing has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. From early childhood, she developed a deep sensitivity to the natural world during long walks along rivers with her fisherman father. The family owned a chalet in the Belgian Ardennes, a formative place where she spent countless hours observing wildlife: the silent flight of herons, harriers gliding over clearings, and the discreet presence of foxes, roe deer, and red deer. These early experiences profoundly shaped her artistic vision and continue to inspire her work today.
Through a wide range of painting techniques, Géraldine Ragon seeks to capture the life, light, and character of each species. Her paintings invite contemplation, opening a window onto preserved landscapes and offering moments of calm and reconnection with nature.
Exhibitions: Géraldine Ragon has recently exhibited in art galleries in Belgium and Italy. An exhibition is scheduled in England in 2026.
Her works are held in private collections in Germany, France, India, and other countries.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of her artworks is dedicated to nature conservation and wildlife protection projects.
